FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
COLUMBUS, Ohio (January 5, 2017) – PromoWest Productions has announced the postponement of PromoWest Fest until at least 2018 as the search continues for a new site to accommodate the festival’s future potential.
The inaugural PromoWest Fest took place July 15-17, 2016, at McFerson Commons Park in Columbus’ Arena District, featuring headliners including The Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse and Snoop Dogg, among many other bands over the full three days. The inaugural 2016 three-day music festival exceeded attendance goals and expectations, hosting nearly 30,000 concertgoers throughout the weekend.
“We understand that this event needs to grow in order to be successful, and we believe that this market can support that growth,” said Brian Ellis, President and COO of Nationwide Realty Investors. “However, due to the physical restrictions of McFerson Commons and the adjacent development, the opportunities for growth on this site are very limited. We are committed to helping identify a more suitable location that can better accommodate the nature and scale of this event and allow for growth in future years.”
Efforts are ongoing to find a new location for the future of PromoWest Fest.
